Michael Gauthier, PhD

Mike graduated from Queen's University with both a PhD in Cultural studies and a Masters degree in Education. In addition he has achieved a Bachelors of Arts in Native Studies from Laurentian and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of PEI in Sociology. As managing partner at Life-Circle Consulting Mike is responsible for ensuring that the consultative tools and information packages achieve our clients education and awareness goals. Mike is a survivor of the trauma caused by the residential school program. He has translated these negative life experiences into an inspirational self-development philosophy and education program. This helped propel him on a journey of fulfilment and most recently enabled him to share his techniques with others who can benefit.

Mike has held many significant roles, which has married his academic and life learning’s with the practicality of our everyday world. Holding consultative and functional positions within the criminal justice system has allowed him the privilege to work as a police officer, correctional officer, Aboriginal Community Development officer and a parole officer. All of these roles have formed Mike’s ability to bring guidance, support and direction to the communities that he works with.

Mike is the father of two children, and has been married to his wife Carolyn for 20 years. He calls Kingston his home, but is really at home when helping others achieve their goals and using his vast experience in making the world around him a better place.
